Got my first ego weapon at Dlvl of almost 30... There was also no artifact of any kind (except Phial) and no armor better than resist cold. It even took forever to get +WIS amulet. But things are rapidly getting better now. rapier of extra attacks rocks. 5 atks/round and its rate bonus is only +1. statgain is about halfway complete.

because Rapiers weigh 4 lbs, I get the same amount of attacks with both weapons. The difference in base damage is totally marginal because these weapons don't slay anything (and besides 2d6 is only 2 points under 3d5). I wish I could find that artifact Scimitar with +2 attack I had on my previous character.. or a rapier of Fury (+2 attacks), heh.
Right now I'm mostly concerned about getting my low resistances back in place. The reason I keep the mace back home is that I worry about losing it to acid attacks while it's in my inv. It doesn't resist acid damage AFAIK

Wear that HA mace. It is best weapon for priest. With that +4 WIS, you'll have access to stream of orb's of draining, which do damage better than weapon. I like using melee alot, I had 2 rings of damage for a long time while I was using rapier of extra attacks. Now I guess it wouldn't hurt to use that CON ring.

I'm just curious, I came across a dark elven sorcerer, how do I kill these things? They self-heal for 300 and have +20 speed at least. Maybe with two Rings of Damage and speed potion? ditto for Rotting Q's and demilich. Maybe I need really good missile ammo?
