First character to make it to mid-level in a loong while. Funny that she's the first High-Elf Assassin I tried (killed quite a few hobbits and dunadans, though). Quite lucky with princess rewards in BD, Thengel and Dal-i-Thalion included. And got Nimthanc from a lvl4 fate! ^_^. Too bad I somehow missed the relic in the first Tulkas quest, so I'll have to do without prayer. Or maybe I'll dump some points there, just to make Divine Aim useful. We'll see...

Halfway through Mirkwood, with some interesting finds, thanks to everyone's favourite princess. Oh, FF finally appeared, and already gave Symbiosis and Mindcraft. Let's see which path will Keb follow...

Finished Mirkwood (some nice rewards, cloak included), and killed Eol and Uvatha. The first wasn't difficult, but highly annoying thanks to his summons and constant blinking. Uvatha fell rapidly to a combination of arrows, a wand of Tidal Wave and a nearby wall of trees (crush damage did 70%~ of the total). Nice ring to boot. Next stop, Mordor.

Halfway through Mordor. I just discovered that I had the inscriptions of my junkarts messed up. It's not funny to activate a (supposed) Heal 700 junkart only to end up lighting your room :S. Found Haradekket, a personal favourite, and I'm considering swapping it for Nimthanc, since the not-so-sentient dagger seems pretty reluctant to gain any useful power ¬_¬.

It's in moments like this that I learn to love Stealth... Cute vault in Mordor 60-something, with nice stuff inside... and a big 'R' known as Tarrasque :O. Luckily, it was in the center of the labyrinth, and I could avoid it completely (it never awoke!), exploring 95% of the vault and getting a quite good haul from it.

Too bad Lvl45 kicked in just before I picked Dwar's loot... oh well, I won't complain (too loudy) ^^.

Boy, Maeglin's quest is *hard* without any ways of genociding those pesky master mindcrafters... They summoned everything they got in their pockets, yet I came out alive and with a bunch of (most likely never to be used) artifacts. Still, closest call so far.

Behold Vorpal Blade :D. Nice birthday present for my second 50th-level character ever. Too bad the Horned Reaper that brought it had to leave the party early >:).

Update after killing Trone and getting his armor. I'm off to Dol Guldur after the Necromancer, and later a bit of dragon and ring-hunting before heading into Angband (or Mt. Doom if I manage to get the One).

Ring bearer round over, and no luck... This means I'll have to go for Sauron. Also managed to get Vorpal a bit disenchanted, courtesy of Khamul, and found no usable equipment from the guardians, with the exception of this nice crossbow. Overall, a bit of a waste of time... sigh, time to hunt Sauron. Now, Mt Doom of Angband? Hm...

Well, the RNG is having a good laugh with poor Keb. Lost Vorpal Blade to another encounter with Khamul (the bastard swapped positions with a Nightcrawler just before I attacked him... poof, sword turned to dust :/).

Luckily I have good alternatives stacked: played a bit with that randart Shadow Blade in Bree's house, but the chaotic effects are too annoying to my taste (specially the "teleport other"-like effect... had to chase Kronos around MtD98 for a while until I managed to kill him), so Careth Asdriag went in in the end, coupled with the =oExtraAttacks +3, yields an impressive damage output per round.

But my bad luck hasn't ended yet... managed to climb to the top of Mt Doom, and found Sauron there. At first I didn't dare to swap in the Anchor, afraid of raw chaos attacks, but after he teleported away two times at 10% HP, I went for it. He went down easily, only summoned Draugluin during the whole fight... but of course, he didn't drop the ring :(. This means I'll have to dive Angband if I want to find him again. Sigh...

Well, just finished the Crypt, with more problems than any other character who got there before (summons in Thuringwethil's room got a bit out of control...). Still, I got a nice reward from there besides Luthien: a Scroll of Artifact Creation, promptly used in my ring of Extra Attacks to get a +2 to Pval. Not bad ;).

Phew, yet another close call... this time in Dim Gates, and almost the same way that my previous Lvl50 character, Phrann III, found his demise: the big, open room with a river. No teleport, no genocide, and 3 Q's of different types summoning stuff at the same time = ugly. Thanks to Flare's power, I could reach the entrance void gate just as things got completely out of control. Too bad I had to leave the rest of the level unexplored, but hey, at least I may live to see Nameless this time :P.

Oh, and the RNG is feeling ironic lately. Just after creating my nice randart ring, I found another very similar one, only with +6 attacks AND speed!. I almost left Flare at home for it, but in the end the Swap Position power weighed more than 5 extra attacks. And I'm *really* glad I was right this time :D.

Some nice finds in Ang94, mainly Nenya and Gil-Galad. I'd love to swap at least the ring into my kit, but the randart ring is staying for good until I find an equivalent or better one, and Flare's power is way too useful, specially considering that next comes Nameless... Meanwhile, randart armor can't even compete with Trone, and finding decent vampiric swords is proving hard as nails... Hm.

Sigh, had to bail out of Nameless with about 60% of the level explored (first time there, funny level). I could already see Razorback in the distance, but some GDQ summoned 3 Pit Fiends, and the chain summoning got out of hand quite fast. Well, I wasn't going to use Razorback anyway (aggravation = big nope), but it always feels nice to complete a special level... meh, I'll vent my frustrations on Sauron next time I see him :P.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner! :D.

Ah, it feels sooo good to win for the first time ^^. Since last dump, I finished diving Angband, and was lucky to find Sauron on 4950' first try. He went down quickly again, and this time dropped the ring. Quickly went back to MtDoom, managed to get to the Fire without awakening a single Nightwalker in the room (stealth rocks!), and dropped the One.

Then began the boring part: back to 99, and quite a bit of level scumming until Mr Pink p appeared again. But this time he wasn't no piece of cake: in fact, he used his Hand of Doom, which hurt me for 900 HP, and dropped me to only 89!. A quick heal and a few more blows, and he was destroyed forever. But he made me sweat this time...

Same story for Big P, but longer: I didn't find him until 5500', and I visited every level until then at least thrice. When he came, he was up to the standard: tough and powerful. He started rushing for melee, then summoned a few orcs, then a pair of demons (rocks were all around, thanks to his earthquakes), a pair of dragons... and finally, Dwar O_o. In the end, I had to do a quick teleport out, since I was being mobbed quite seriously. Teleported back near them, made a small corridor, and waited for them to come. This time it was easier, since Morgy was already down to 3 stars, and he fell in a few more rounds.

I won't retire the character for now, just in case I decide to bring him to the Void (not that he would have any chance there, but...). I already have a cloak of Air stocked somewhere, so that's already scratched on the list. We'll see...

*does happy dance*
