Here is my half hearted attempt at a Beastman Ninja. Bad mutations really piss me off, and I got -3 stealth and then a rotting disease. Fortunately, both were removed only at the expense of my ability to smell precious metals.

Nearly 2 hours in the Cloning Pits, as things went very very wrong. A Maulataur was generated next to the queen ants, not to mention Charon, the Boatman of the Styx. Over 400 fire ants were destroyed by me, and the quest required some care to complete successfully. In at CL31 and out at CL34. Not bad ;-)

Before the event. STR/DEX/CON were starred out, or nearly so. 110% life rating. CL40 with over 800hp. Dishing out 400 damage around in melee.

Advice on Acquirement: I usually get two at the same time (ie. wait to find the Phial in the dungeon and then claim the quest and arena scrolls). But if you have access to *Destruction*, then go down into the dragons lair and destruct. That will buy you time to read your scrolls even if you don't meet anything on the checklist!
