Pretty much all my good equip (except cloak of proc) came from quest rewards. I like nevrast. A lot. Just got it too.

There's a lot of talk on rgra about diving such that you continue to fight opponents of significant difficulty. Quests (at least hard ones) force this issue to some extent. I think I prefer hard quests over straight diving in general. My next quest is undead beholders. I've actually got res_nether, and I hope they'll die quickly to thrown weaps. I think Leon is right; somewhere along the line he made throwing weaps *way* too powerful.

I'll get +2int, access to a *lot* of mana, lose 75 hp by end game (not eager to lose until I've gained some more con), and lose 30% swords. The hp bothers me a little. I may end up changing race at some point, so I won't necessarily be able to count on good hp. Meh, no need to decide now.

For the record, the gloves are cammirinthin.

In other news, I still have not committed to oath or not. But, I did just get genozide. This will make life *so* much easier. Quaker and Ariel (both of whom I find troublesome) are now dead. I've got Jabberwocks up soon, but I'm much better prepared for them now than I normally am; +13 speed and RChaos, sounds like plenty. I really like this high spell stat thing, but my con was thrashed for it. !Con is pretty common though, so I'm not doing too poorly. Honestly, I feel like I could be down another 20 levels, esp with ESP. Thranduil was a QR. I'm going to horde MushofMetamorph, to see if I need to fill in a resist hole or something late game. The extra hp from giant is nice, but I don't need the tunnelling bonus anymore. Lack of confusion resist is annoying, but I'll live for now. I'll carry _telep and !CCW to deal with it. Been working so far. cure med wounds is way awesome.
