I recently encountered Ungoliant in a vault - 18,000 HP from the spoilers. And speed +20. Eek! I'm doing 700HP per round with my dagger, but that's still 25 rounds, and my HP are not too hot. Certainly not enough to go toe to toe for that long!

So how do I bump up my power at this stage (prior to getting Artifact Creation, that is...)? Any hints gratefully accepted.

And I know I can mathom or sell most of those artifacts, as I've *ID*'d them all, so I know how to add the flags later. I will, soon. Honest.

I'd tiptoed through everyone, and could have got out and completed the quest, but I stupidly decided to hit Ulik, just to see how much damage I could do (after all, I could run away as I was right by the stairs). Nope, he killed me in one series of blows :-(
