I actually almost just died when I triggered one of those traps where the room is then utterly filled with "immortal beings". Mostly Angels and ghosts and maybe demons. That was a bit hairy. But blink helped a bit, and then a planetar who I had almost killed teleported me away, very fortunate.

I got pretty low once when I was moving fast and didn't see Madam Debby in a large open room. The only resist I don't have yet is Chaos, but once I actually noticed it, I just had to waste a few !oheal and a !ocure and I was fine.

I really need to get off of rings for chaos and shards. I have no real cloak at all, hopefully I'll get one. Even mook for chaos would be very very nice right now. Just found chainsword, that'd be perfect for a second weapon if I can find spec. I look at all the high end berserkers on the ladder and they ALL have spec. I want. I have diatribe right now, but while it provides chaos, it then leaves disenchant free, and I really like having anti-magic of terror mask.

I got a full inventory of artifacts, and some glove stuff. I was looking for at least genji if I can't find spec. Which I did get. So I'm gonna mess around with Slayer and this Randart great hammer +2 attacks and electric brand or something. It looks ok. I have really bad rings though. Haven't found ANY rings of +2 attacks yet. And since I have to haul back every dam or slaying ring to ID it I don't have the greatest of those either.

All but one! While I played two zerkers that had spec, they both died. But my winnner zerk never found spec! Anyways: Don't trust what the attack rating sais for the zerker. You can easily dual wield without having a genji glove or spec, as you'll hit more than enough even with -30 to hit.

As I said, I died twice with spec. I didn't have blink, but i don't think it would have helped. Basicly it was good dragons both times (without the luck of getting teleed away). Spec has the hidden ability to make people (or at least myself) very overconfident. So... considering you are doing twice the damage my zerk winner did: Go down, fast!, kill serpent and then consider killing the Chemist or whatever you want to do..

Stealth affects the rate at which monsters wake up. Superstealth, when on, means that the monsters have a "high chance" of not seeing where you are. Also, Superstealth allow you to get the super-crit "coup de mains" that don't miss.

IMO, Superstealth purely a combat technique. Don't use it for actually sneaking, that's what Stealth is for!

That phrase is "The Spawn of Ubbo-Sathla'. A single word to describe it also would be breeders. This is the second time (granted in all the times I've done cloning pits) that I'll be failing it purely off of breeders that got out of control before I even knew they were there.

In this case I had the forlorn hope that I could find life-4 book, which has steralize in it. But they've basically covered the entire board already from what I can tell. I've only killed 236 of them! I could farm them more for exp before I leave, but I'm too dejected to bother I think. Too bad I quit when I did in vapor quest on mutations. Steralize mutation would be VERY handy right about now.

Hm. Two other things I'd try before quitting. Day of Dove, and also switching to Trump and hoping you get a good summon with Summon Monsters (i.e. a unique with escorts, preferably dragon).
