This character owes his victory to two things: that lovely triple immunity armour and some really cheesy tactics.

The HP boost from the armour saved his bacon while taking on some mana-storming Black Reavers in deep Angband, while the cheesy tactics were a result of discovering that Fireflash does damage through spider webs. Any monster that didn't tunnel or didn't resist Fireflash (notably Sauron) could be killed without ever letting them get LOS. Morgoth was similar, only with him I used the dunna hrassa floor inscriptions (I had never used floor inscriptions before).

Incidentally, along the way I discovered that Ungoliant can't cross lava and Morgoth can't cross water.
