Cheating with this character. Testing two things at the same time: Are mages good at the deeper levels and how randarts work. As you can see from my age I've already dies a couple times, that's why the cheat death option is on. This main gauche found very early has proven really good weapon.

Randarts have proven pretty neat, though for some reason the weapons I find don't have too big to-hit and -dam (excluding this main gauche I'm using)

So far I haven't found mages powerful as a class. The only advantage over Rangers has been Rift which does quite a decent amount of damage. Magic missile of course is a killer to anything which doesn't have (dangerous) ranged attacks.

Still cheating. We'll see how mages function in the really deep depths where I'm heading next.

Didn't die after dlevel 50, But still have cheats on. Randarts made most of the weapons be crap but some rings and shields were nice. Not going to play another class with cheats one anymore.
