Inspired by one of the old DITL competitions, The Grey Ratter is a Classical Hobbit Rogue with zero random quests. As winning characters go, he's definitely one of the weaker ones: while he made a honest effort to make trapping a key part of his game, it was more trouble than it was worth (the miniscule damage hardly compensated for the expense in terms of inventory space).

Interestingly though, I discovered that in this version, Device Traps have the effect of doubling the amount of charges in a wand. I ended up with a wand of manathrust with some 13000 charges. Pity the Device Trap doesn't actually fire non-rod devices at the monsters though...
