Well anyhow, this is my maybe fifth character, I guess I play carefully.
I started playing Angband in 2003 and my first character ever did really well:

I still wish I had won it with that one, it would have been quite an achievement. Alas, it did not happen and I played another character quite carelessly after the first try which reached to clv 35 or something like that. After that I stopped playing, more or less drained by the experience.

Anyhow, right before christmas I installed Angband again never thinking I would play another full game, but as happened the last time I got pretty immersed in the game.
Some failed characters later this one really had a nice start finding Ringil at a pretty shallow depth (2,5k or something if I recall correctly?)

All in all Mjok was never in any real danger, and the only real challenge with M was my somewhat shaky fingers.
Confession corner: Some LOS-abuse, stairscumming (never noticed that scumming was a birth option until too late) were used.

PS. The last year and a half I have been playing onlinepoker successfully, and I think some of the veterans here should try it out since it requires the same type of characteristics to be able to beat as Angband. DS.
