I tried out most of the shapes with my first few characters (using the Maia ability) and I didn't see anything worth giving up several equipment slots. It was a while ago, though. The problem is, a high level character probably doesn't have the right equipment to give up a few slots without losing a critical resist. So the obvious solution is to put different critical resists on each form.

If being a flying creature allowed you to fly over chasms/traps, it would definitely be worth it, too. Plus it would be as great a feeling as walking on lava for the first time.

I don't know. Broken in that it wasn't very fun to kill Morgoth while completely invincible. In my opinion, it shouldn't be a spell. Mages already have enough power. In the endgame, the main weakness of the class is the lack of a healing spell which heals more than 120 hp, which is fair, so why give them something which removes the need to heal?

I could learn around 15-20 more spells, I think, but only a few without augmentation. I decided not to use the spells augmentation allowed me to learn because I remembered Morgoth could reduce all stats. Also, I don't understand why there is a spell of Summon Killer Iridescent Beetle (Phantasmal Force) in the book of Necromancy. Mana pool is a really great spell, but I got a surprise when I cast it in water. "What do you mean, my speed is +2???". I did not need more spells.

Thorin I would have worn, but only until I found this blade of chaos on the lower levels of Angband. If Elessar was only +1, I would have switched it for the necklace of the Dwarves, which is +3. Assuming you also lower that, I would have worn Ingwe or some normal amulet, instead. I was basically wearing Numenor for the stats and shard resist, so I probably would have swapped it for a helmet of seeing (+15) (Glowing) I discarded or that crown of might (+5).

One of the most satisfying parts of this particular game was searching frantically for and finding that Trident of Resist Water right before I was going to kill the Watcher in the Water. As you can see, I tried to make a Seaspire item without knowing the recipe, but that failed. So don't make resist water more common, it really makes things exciting for mages in the midgame.

I have two suggestions in terms of dumps.
1. [Character Equipment Stat Modifiers, Sustains and Flags] should be near the top.
2. It would be nice if each bag only displayed its contents the first time it appeared.
