Had a very hard time finding stairs at first, which is too bad, as I got enough speed early enough that my turn-count would otherwise be very low. I was at ~200k turns when I hit 1500', found =FA at 1700', BoS +4 at 1750, and =Escaping at 2000'. Lacked all resists until I found a Shield of Resist fire at 2700'. Just bought Armor of Resistance. It was ge6ting a bit scary there for a while- no elemental resists wth <400 hp really limits what you can do in the late 50s. Currently 271k turns at 2950'.

I guess it's hard to find !stat in the 3.1.? series? I've certainly had a hard time of it, though I have been going down pretty quickly. I just found gloves of Power +5 to Str, so what I really need now is Con.

I have a feeling I might just blow through the yes prompts anyway. It's pretty unusual for me to make this sort of mistake. But I guess it happens. Still an annoying way to die with my first 3.1.? character. ;). He was pretty promising too... no one piece of big luck but a rather harmonious set of medium and small luck. Those boots ;).

Of course the good thing about playing fast is that I only lost a couple hours of gameplay to this fellow. I will return www. And maybe I won't be so sloppy next time.
