This is my first Sangband winner, although I've had a couple other characters come close. I like the combination of melee + spells, and necromancy definitely has the best spells to suit my playing style.

I got amazingly luck with Armor Forging this time around. Usually I'm hurting for components; this game I must have found 30+ components, letting me choose from a huge variety of insanely powerful forged items.

Morgoth went down easily enough. He summoned special opponents a few times, and I just teleported away and waited for him to come calling. Risky, but it ended up working out.

Oddly enough, with the exception of Sauron and Morgoth, I killed almost everything using melee only. I'd cast Lich Powers (for speed), protection from evil, black blessing, and then just smack enemies with that vorpal sword. With Morgoth, though, I didn't want to get too close.

!RestoreMana was lacking. I found only *one* potion the entire game (and trust me, I was keeping an eye out for them). In the end, I was forced to use Ritual of Blood to restore mana during the final fight.
