rec.games.roguelike.angband looking glass
As of March 31 2008, my ISP's USENET feed provider ceased to exist (buyout by another company). Since that date, I no longer have any access to the USENET. Therefore, I am forced to discontinue r.g.r.a frontend on Angband.oook.cz website.

What I like least about this is that while rods can't be recharged,
their charges can be drained by a monster melee attack. This asymmetry
makes rods a LOT less valuable deep down in the dungeon, where monsters
with drain charges attacks are getting common (and those get very scary
because you can't teleport them away after they have touched you once
and drained all your teleport other rods at once). It is also very bad
for warriors, who have to carry rods and have to use melee (which means
the monsters heal themselves by draining your rods). Please consider
making rods either rechargeable or undrainable.
The compromise about which rods are destructible is good. Is the
destruction chance the same as for wands now? (Rods in NPP get destroyed
very seldom, maybe that chance should be higher for the shallow rods if
the powerful ones aren't affected anyway).
