rec.games.roguelike.development looking glass

As of March 31 2008, my ISP's USENET feed provider ceased to exist (buyout by another company). Since that date, I no longer have any access to the USENET. Therefore, I am forced to discontinue r.g.r.a frontend on Angband.oook.cz website.

Thanks Corremn :)

Displaying the correct answers is an excellent idea. I've written that
in to the bug fix version.

A friend suggested adding a timer in when I was making the game, but I
wasn't keen on the idea. My thinking was that roguelike games are
never about hurried actions or events that are based on the player's
time. If I'd written the game for a different genre, I'd more than
likely have added a timer.

I compromised somewhat by showing the total game time when the player
has won the game.
