The dark elven lord quest wasn't bad. Having an AC of 80+ plus speed, heroism, and beserk, Power Attack, and sufficient curing potions/teleportation helped me succeed in completing this quest.

On the other hand, I had a close call with the logrus master. This guy is no joke for early characters. First, I didn't realize that he was invisible. Then, he proceeded to invoke raw logrus at me, causing confusion. I was down to about 150 HP. Then, I quaffed a potion of Curing, and tried to attack. I was actually able to attack him, despite his invisbility. He invokes raw logrus again, bringing me down to like 10 ~ 20 HP. At this point, I had nothing to lose. So, I press the left arrow key again, and lo and hehold I killed the logrus master, and thus I survived. That was scary.

That's right! I got the Detect Monsters mutation from the Logrus master's logrus attack. I have to say, this is one of the best mutations for a Weaponmaster like this one.

Just now, I completed the Mimic quest and Tengu and Death quests for the Thieves' guild in Morivant. The Mimic quest wasn't too bad because I had a Shield of Reflection + Detect Monsters mutation, of course. The Tengu and Death Swords were easy.

Since the last time, I gave the Arena a try. I defeated 26 monsters in a row. Got beaten by a Vampire lord in the 27th fight, and then got kicked of the arena afterwards. Afterwards, I took on Grendel and his company in the waters. With enough speed, beserk, and adequate means of teleportation, he and his henchmen weren't too difficult to handle. Then, I went onto fighting several 9-headed hydras, eldraks, and water trolls to gain more experience. The 9-headed hydras were a bit risky to mess with. But, with double fire resistance and reflection, I was able to avoid getting instakilled. I can handle most hydras except for the 7-headed hydra, due to its poison breath, which the 9-headed hydra does not have.
