One cool thing about this combo is that the Centaur's hooves are actually an additional attack on top of the standard melee one.

That said, I really need rConf as soon as possible. I did the second Royal Lyceum quest and it was a close call. As of now I'm managing with !curing but you may never know.

Thanks for the tip Mocht, I didn't know that.

So, I played some more, but nothing really special happened.

So far, Mystics seem really powerful. I'm using Quick approach 80% of the time, since Stealth approach only increase my stealth from Excellent to Superb. Stunning Blow doesn't seem to increase the chance of dazing enemies that much, but Corrosive Blow is REALLY powerful on the other hand (even though it consumes your SP quickly).

I really need that rConf now. I just came back from Angband, where I met Jaian and that Living Trump guy, plus a bunch of clairvoyants, and I only managed to survive thanks to my stack of !curing.

Also, I quaffed a !SelfKnowledge and discovered that my stats are shit. Luckily I got a !NewLife from the second orc quest, so as soon as I get my hands on another !SelfKnowledge I'm done.

Absolutely anything can happen from a potion of new life, unless your life rating and stats are so bad that they could hardly be worse I think it is safer to only use those potions when you have a bunch of them
If you want the slays then you use nunchaku (are there are other weapons for monks and mystics?)
Can your armour and cap be enchanted a bit, an AC of 50 looks dangerous to me
With an AC of 50 and no shards resistance rock throwers might be able to 1-shot you, and crystal drakes will be very dangerous too
I would have thought that the troll slayer quest would have been too dangerous, but you completed it

I think 2 levels of free action is enough, you could wear The Set of Leather Gloves of Pippin and get more speed

I hit CL29 and I unlocked this Aura of Retaliation, which essentially works like Counter for Samurai. The problem is that each retaliation consumes 20-30 SP, so it's only usable in a 1-1 battle with a unique after having concentrated to the maximum.

Mystics aren't really bad. In fact, the melee is very powerful. They have however 2 big problems:
* no ranged options
* no way to get away from danger
* can't equip heavy armor

In theory, you can rely on archery and devices to compensate, but an ability like Nuysin (ninja) or Charge (Duelist) would really help. Quick approach is not as powerful as ninja Quick walk. Stealth approach has negligible impact. Defense stance reduces your attack power, making it worthless (why would you want to increase your defense if you can't deal lots of damage?).

But the biggest problem is the armor. Either you're lucky and you get a Filthy Rag of Elvenkind or something, or you won't be able to fight most enemies later on. If you look at my home, I have a Double Ring Mail of Elvenkind which I couldn't use as it would trigger an 'Heavy Wield' and block all of my powers.
