I started up another character on my laptop (lunchtime at work - I know, I know - I'm addicted).

Whilst going over all the different classes and races I might employ for my diversionary little character (Redwing my monk is lvl 50 and close to finishing) I had an idea....

Why not just play a Human Warrior? Granted I made him nimble but only because I thought that would make for an interesting sounding name - Nimble Norm....(ridiculous reason as it means he started with one blow).

Norm is tired of all the souped up Whizz-bang complex characters with lots of abilities and mutations and skills. He's going to hack things to death with a handy weapon and that's about it.

So far so good. I got excited when Norm's reward for the Thieves quest (chlvl 5) was a Shocking Long Sword but then I bumped in to Farmer Maggot and he kindly dropped the Trump Tulwar which is a great weapon for the moment.

Early levelp ups produced increases to str and dex and I picked str at lvl 10 so he now has 3 blows.

Not a superman (and never will be) but I'm hoping he'll be strong enough to win anyway.

Took the quest a little underprepared and knew if anything was summoned I would be toast...

Got to the last group of mimics and thought I was going to be ok until the pack of Air Hounds was summoned....

That's both work characters (laptop) killed in quick succesion.

What laptop character next?

Maybe an Archer.... Who knows
