Decided to give in and play a Dunadan instead of a High-Elf, and I'm none the worse for it. Was able to begin with both four blows and 15 or 16 WIS. A decent game so far - nothing terribly remarkable. Found the holy avenger hammer and the cap of light for sale in town which has made up for the Dunadan's innate deficiencies. Noticed Andi knocked up stat pot frequency to 90 - have seen 3 so far.

A failed -telOther against Uvatha. My last decent char, a Ranger died from two failed _telSelf attempts. In quite a few games with warriors and rogues, this has never been a problem.. strange. Maybe these two classes just have substandard magic device skills. I guess this death could've been avoided by ?teleport level, but I'd been burning through so many, and only had one left. Oh well... back to rogues, I suppose.
