This is probably the first time I *ever* had a likely successful Mauler. And I am having *way more* fun than expected with this. At the 1 hour mark, I am already at clvl 24 and can harness 126 Normal damage with a Lance (2d8) (+9,+9). Up to now, I have accumulated a handful of good stuff as well. And *damn*, Splatter is *A LOT* of fun and a *huge* help when fighting monster packs. I picked the Cyclops because of Sound Resistance and Rock throwing ability. Cyclops are vastly underplayed these days, but can be powerful as Maulers. Who needs DEX when my Cyclops can do 126 Normal in ~ 1 1/2 hits...damn!

Key finds:
1) a Ring of Combat (+0,+11) {Labyrinth 17, ground}
-Great supplement to damage

2) a Pair of Dragon Wings [4,+10] {Li} / a Pair of Dragon Wings [4,+10] {Di, Orc Camp}
-Nice to have early on, especially the one with Disenchantment resistance

-Big boost to CHR and WIS

At the 2 hour mark, I'm at clvl 28 doing 292 Normal damage with a Mace of Disruption (6d8) (+9,+6) {Sewer quest, Bat of Gorgoroth}, which I found during the Sewer quest!!! My damage is reaching *very high* levels already for a Mauler, and I'm not even at clvl 30 yet! I think I'm having more fun with this Mauler than I ever had with most Possessors. Right now, I'm trucking along in the Forest. With my STR maxed out, it's time to get the DEX higher!

Found some Uruk-hai armour and finished off the Forest to get another DEX boost. Now, I'm hanging around the swamp NE of Angwil for levelling up. I'm having some fun 'Knocking Out' Hydras left and right. I had some close calls for not paying attention. Just now, I did a Knockout Blow to Scylla, and-he-is-knocked-out!! Hilarious! Knockout Blow is already becoming my most favorite attack. It's too funny to see uniques getting Knocked out cold like this one (Scylla).

FYI, 'Flost Bland' actually has Fire and Sound resistance. This is quite handy.

Leveling up my iMauler dude while taking a break from Hugo$oul 915.

Finished Orc cave and completed a few more Angband quests up to dlvl 24. I got Rich, the Thief as the quest monster. Gachapin showed up, too! I took out the reptile before it could do anything.

Currently at clvl 30 showing off 381 Normal damage. For practicality, I would go for less damage in favor of more resistances in the long run. I even have an Executioner's Sword (Death) (5d5) on standby, which I'd be using most of the time.

Just finished the Camelot. Even with spectacular damage, the Camelot knights are no joke if my speed is only +1!! I had to stay hasted to survive.
