The mimic treasure quest surely made me pass the stages of grief and made my adrenal glands secrete some adrenaline,for sure!

Enter my poor character:Going around the wilderness,killing things that move.Find the mighty helmet of mugash.Decide "Why the heck not" and enter the tengu and death swords quest.I had bought a wand of teleport others,so I was confident.The wrecking note was very,very weak.I was just plain lucky not to get teleported in the middle of 3 death swords.My AC was cute.I think it was around 30 or 50.Anyway,I survived.Then I got greedy and went to do the mimics quest.Omg,you can't believe how bad it was.I cleared out the right corner,proceeded to the middle,and then,BAM.An orc unique + anchorage was summoned.No problem,right?I cast soul shriek.the orcs die like flies(robin hood was summoned too but he wasn't noticable at all).
Orcs dead,robin dead.Everything okay?NO!A fire giant was summoned!That was the part where things took a turn for worse!He threw boulder after boulder at me,making me bleed from nasty cuts.No shard resistance.Cornered in a cellar with a fire giant!oh my!I tried to kill him,wrecking note too weak.Tried to shoo him away.fear wasn't effective.So I used my wand of tele other finally.12 charges.Used them all up.That giant just kept coming back!That was when I discovered the great awesomeness that is the illusion pattern.A single round cast confused the giant for like 10 or 20 rounds.So,I cast it,flee to a corner,and rest.Giant keeps coming back,surprise.I am out of healing potions,nearly out of mana,and virtually no other resources.I had a rod of cold bolt.I feebly zap it,and it doesn't hurt him at all.He,of course throws a rock at me again.Nasty cut status.I am loosing more health than i am gaining from my heal spell(flow of life).So,there I am with something like 30 mana or so,bleeding like a pig,no teleport,no nothing.I was about to suicide...but then i discover some tiles away a magical figurine of a huorn!!!!YAY.With rediscovered hope I overthing the situation again.I cast illusion pattern.Now,this is the crucial part.I could have bled to death.The spell may have failed.The giant may have resisted.It may have stumbled in its confusion in my direction and hit me anyway...But none of those happened!After confusing him I slipped right by him,my cut status went to "slightly cut" and well....back to the figurine

A magical figurine of a huorn.Praise be to god!salvation.right?Nope.So,I throw the damned thing and the huorn turns...what..HOSTILE?!Lucky me,it can't move.phew....

The rest was boring and predictable.The huorn didn't do anything except teleport me some times to himself,and he did insignificant damage.the giant was too busy being confused.I used guerilla tactics.confused him,escaped,healed,then repeat until my mana and health were on maximum.Then blablabla

Well,the likelyhood of me surviving this was so low,that I just had to write it detailed.
Now I will go for scylla.I have so much resistances,what can possibly go wrong?
