As it is said in a scroll of Rumour: "Potion of detonation are better known as nitroglycerin". Just throw it on a monster and BANG!

Another thing to do with them is sell them for 6000-7000 Gold (with my current Chr) and buy Scrolls of Enchant Armor to get more essences of explosion (technique found on the TOME forum)
