This was Morgoth-killing gear. (I never melee morgoth in NPP if I can help it, especially as I can carry 99 Slay Evil arrows in the quivver. I kept Bellegenon for the activation.)

For much of the game I wore Cubragol, Zorander, and Gondor. I didn't need healing activations for Morgoth and Sauron, so I dropped Gondor in favor of Numenor found on level 97. What luck.

Only difficult kills were Sauron and Cantoras. Morgoth just kept summoning weak undead; Omarax was the only remaining high unique.

Yes, I just went down & down. It's ironman with small levels after all, so I was mostly clearing levels. I got 6 blows with Totila. +8 speed, and all the critical resists quite early, which helped a lot.

Uniques did pile up for a while until I found Cubragol, Cambeleg & Mundwine.
I must have seen Saruman close to 10 times.
