I have to admit, Thunderlords certainly take a long time to level up.

I'm having good progress here. I already did many of the quests, except for the Gondolin Trolls and the others in Lotherien. Most of my experience came from fighting dragons in the mountain areas.

Right now, I have lots of good stuff, like the rare Amulets of Devotion, Resistance, Substenance, etc. I got two sources of Blindness Resistance. I got most of these items from the various stores and the dragons inside the mountain chains. Of course, the Dwarven Lantern was received after the Eol quest. And mine has Blindness and Poison Resistance!

Other than that, my skills are decent. My melee attack is up to 9 blow/round. With the Shadow Blade I'm doing 730+ damage per round. My Magic skill is good. The prayer skill is not too bad either.

I should be in the dungeon any minute now. For a good start, I will go to the Sandworm Lair first, hoping that I see a vault in there. I will do Barrow-Downs and the others eventually.

I had about 3 super feelings. On the first one I found about 3 Tome spellbooks, which I sold to the Magic Shop for over 20,000 gold each. On the next super feeling, I found a regular vault, containing a Small Leather Shield of Reflection. Then at 1450ft in the Sandworm Lair, I believe I found my very first Greater Checkboard Vault. And I have yet to go inside! Indeed, this is the first time I've seen a GCV in ToME. I think this will be a fun one too.
