My game seems to have a pattern of giving me great luck, followed by bad luck. At first I thought I was doing really well - I'd destroyed the One Ring, and found nearly every 'true' artifact, including two rings of power, before I'd even entered Angband - but then things went a bit sour, and in the Crypt my Vorpal blade got disenchanted by me accidentally meleeing a Nazgul with it.

Then I whipped out Mormegil. I'm glad it's developed that drain life, but the + to dam is looking a bit low for my liking. On a similar + dam front, I've finally realised that Gorlim isn't actually entirely unusuable because of the AFC, and now I'm really, really regretting throwing it away to make space.

I also threw away Cambeleg after getting Fingolfin, only to realise later on that if I developed Arms mimicry, Cambeleg might have been useful as my second pair of gauntlets. I'm really paranoid about my melee ability.

On the plus side, my defence is fairly solid. All resistances/immunities, and a nice AC. Speed could be better. Angband's not been a big problem so far, but I'm not looking forward to finding Morgoth. I may have to spend some of my 134 reserve skill-points, though I've no clue what in.

Nah, seriously, it was tough. Morgoth almost killed me a couple of times. Got me down to 47hp once. And my symbiote died. Luckily, I got through. Quaffed about 6 potions of *Healing* and two of Life, but basically, I just bashed the hell out of him with Mormegil. The worst part was his second summon - a Great Wyrm of Chaos or whatever decided to breath at me right after Morgy invoked a Hand of Doom. Eeesh. And that Hand of Doom, only time I've ever seen it used, but I did NOT like it.

Still, despite my foolishness of forgetting to do basic crap like Protect from Evil, set up more than one Rune of Protection, or summoning a pet (One of my junkarts does that, it's coo'), I won. Yay me!

I told Galadriel I'd attempt the void, but considering how difficult Morgy was, that plan seems perhaps a little foolish. Maybe I'll just retire now, undefeated...

OR I'll buy a second pair of arms and Undead Form, level up Sting (found it while completing my very last Princess Quest, 98), and die valiantly and stupidly on the Void level 1. Choices, choices.
