Here my second shot at this character. Took a different approach to starting the character up. Went right into the dungeon and fiddled around picking up unguarded loot till I could afford a digger. Then it was mining, mining, mining until I could afford a piece of armor to take me up to lvl 10. This was a long boring process, and I died and had to start over a few times when insect swarms snuck up on me, but on the whole I really think its the only way to go with an android.

After that I've pretty much rolled so far. Max random quests have given me a fairly good supply of items to level me up. Went through the quests pretty easily once I got my pet AMHD. I also tried a few other pets. Best one Ive found so far are Angels, as they can be easily evolved up to Seraphs which gives you a fast tank with summoning ability. Unfortunately mine got killed somewhere along the line. Vampires can substitute for angels but are less optimal due to the light vulnerability.

Sting was a cakewalk. It was in the first node I tried and I only woke one jumping cold ball. Helps that I found a Clk o Elvk of Theivery right before I was set to do the Vault.

Sticking with Angband for now until I run into a randquest that I cant handle. Looking for some more pets to evolve. Only randquest that gave me a scare at all so far was Ariel who was generated on a small level, only 4 rooms. Had to use a !oHeal on that one.

So, rollin along, feeling good about this character!

Oh #!#@! Died and didnt' get a character dump. My bad. And this one doesn't give you a good idea of how awesome K-9 ended up being. Mostly because I found the Golden Crown of Amber which bumped me from clvl 35 to clvl 43. At that point I was able to evolve my 2 AMHDs up to Great Wyrms of Many Colors for offense. Evolved a casty "p" up to a Ancient Sorcerer for summons. Carried them around in capture balls and was wiping the floor with anything without getting into actual combat myself. So how did I die? As usual, my own carelessness. Read an un ID'd ? and it turned out to be *Destruction*, or whatever it's called in this var. Killed all my pets, and sure enough Baphomet immediately leaps on me and stuns me. The stunning killed my chances of casting my way out, and poof! Of course, I didn't have any ! of Healing left.

I remain convinced that the Android Time Lord is a superb combo though. Not needing XP removes the only disadvantage to using pets as your main offense. That and it occurs to me that it probably also removes the only drawback of Reverse Time, though I didn't get to test it because of the stunning.
