Got to level 9 and got Orb of Draining. Now I just have to avoid getting cocky. With a 35% failure rate and only enough mana to cast OOD twice, that shouldn't be too hard. :)

Arrgh! Went into the middle of an empty room to pick up something. A kobold shaman came in a door on the south wall, so I OOD'd him. Then a snage shows up on the north, so I head up there to try to keep a swarm from coming in, and just as I get there, cave orcs start coming in from the west. I had to run around the snagas to get to an exit on the east, but by the time I was around the snagas, the orcs were on me. I died just as I got to the tunnel. I think this one was just bad luck, I tried not to fight them in the room, but the timing of their appearances put me in the wrong place at the wrong time.
