I got really lucky from an acquirement scroll and got hammerhand, I miss my telepathy helm though... but the sustains and stat bonuses from it and most importantly nexus resistance I just couldn't pass up, but I imagine I'd have fewer near death experiences with some telepathy =/

Hint: Mage store sells amulets of lightning resistance, and you have many other sources for acid resistance. Also always check Black Market for rings of poison resistance

You should hang around that depth until maxxing stats anyway. Avoid Night mares at all costs, you'll end up dead trying to melee them without confusion resistance.

Hammerhand's a lot better than just ESP helmet.

Blinding is the only issue, hope it won't keep me from diving a bit more, though I might stay at 2300 feet and max my stats and get rich. Several of my artifacts were dropped by retarded monsters rofl, though I sold half of them lol. This is my best character ever, here's hoping I get to see Morgoth :D Hell I haven't even seen a Greater Vault yet >< Oh and I have to change my quote now that I've killed an Ancient Multi-Hued Dragon, although I used Forasgil not Narthanc ;)

Anyway, arrows should do a lot more damage than those rods.
You should currently get 100 damage with basic unenchanted arrows. Without a damage ring this is better than going melee in most fights.

Still have a boring shield and boots, hoping for some boots of speed +20 and a shield of deflection of restance or something :D Stat boosting and a level has got my health to 887, by far the most I've ever had lol, and I'm only level 38 with /28 to go on my con, 3 levels, so I'm expecting a pretty high hp at max stats/level, assuming RNG lets me get there :) Six hits with Forasgil is pretty godly as far as I can see, with this hp and resistances not even ancient multi-hued dragons stand a chance, although they usually blind me before I get the kill :( No great uniques though, atleast none that I've been able to kill =/ Today was just Draebor, and he took 2 hits (I'm surprised he lasted that long). Man that ring of con +4 and forasgil have really helped in getting me where I am now, and soon I'll be in all new territory, seeing monsters I've never seen before. This is my first 3.0.6 character, just switched from 2.9.2, so there've been a few new things on the way, but nothing too new, but soon I'll be deeper than ever before, this is my best character ever, I'm excited :D
