Man, my best character ever by a huge margin, after playing sometimes for a few years a while ago and starting quite a bit this summer (this character is indeed the 94th in his lineage). Not totally legit since I made Maggot DROP_2D2 | DROP_GREAT sometime around the 50th character of this line since I found the beginning game too boring when played safely and too repetitive when played entertainingly with frequent deaths. After that many have had the early boost to dive to stat gain, with a few making it past that to die around CL40.

This character seemed pretty much ready for his final battles, having just dispatched Carcharoth, Angmar, Cantoras, that Balrog of White Fire and pretty much every unique shallower than 82 or so. The Tarrasque battle was just without an end in sight, I'd started with I think 9 !Restore Mana, and about 15 !Healing. He broke or forced me to use pretty much all of them, breathing 600+ fire and frost in most rounds, forcing me to spend most of my time casting Healing. I was probably on the verge of fleeing the fight with no consumables and no books if I hadn't slipped up and failed to notice that the frost breath after drinking my mana potion wasn't the same as the one before it. Now I know to make a special trip for him with a stock of !Resist Heat and Cold and plenty of !Mana reserves. I never really found a good weapon or shooter though, I had the spear of Orome from pretty early, but I read a ?Curse Weapon on that, never found something as good.
