I wish I had this weapon in one of my warrior games, really useful for meleeing balrogs, which I don't plan on doing much of with this character lol.

Resistance and shield are so incredibly powerful, without them I couldn't have gotten this far. I can safely fight any ancient dragon who breathes acid, fire, cold, elec, poison thanks to resistance. They do what, 1/9th the normal damage with double resistances? Using shield puts my AC higher than my AC was with my kobold warrior when he fought Morgoth, and I'm not even scumming 4900' yet. I can melee a lot of things thanks to shield, and shoot arrows from a distance anything that uses elemental breaths/spells thanks to resistance. This means killing dragons, orcs, trolls, and ogres is easy, and they're the best droppers.

My shield is my only non-artifact, it just gives me 37 ac, so I need to find a replacement shield that does give res_elec, ideally with ~37 ac as well hah. Since I always use resistance, and I'm up to above 700 hp now, I'm not worried about the temporary loss of res_elec. I have an amulet I could switch for to regain res_elec, but I'd lose 200 hp, so fuck that.

Carcaroth was the toughest fight, because he kept breathing nether and darkness, which while I resist both, there's no way to double resist either, and they do a lot of damage while he's near full hp.

I had a dumb close call vs I can't remember, where I was at 9 hp or something, can't remember exactly what happened though. Looking through my messages, it's possible a darkness breath by Carcaroth did it, but I can't be sure =/

At this point though, I hardly recognize my character. I hardly use magic to attack anymore, relying on either melee or arrows mostly. For soooo long I was at 150-177 hp, then got up to 200, then hit 300 not long after, then jumped to 500, and now I'm above 700. With immunity to cold, fire, and with my new hp, I feel so much stronger, there are few enemies I can't fight anymore.

Then one question, I'm carrying around a sling and a crossbow because I don't have room in my house, and because I don't want to limit myself to just arrows if I find better bolts/shots; inspired by the slay evil bolts and holy might shots in my home, that I'm saving for Morgoth. Some anything of acid would be nice for Sauron, but I haven't seen any the whole game. Why does elemental brand only use poison, fire, and cold?
But anyway, my real question is: which light crossbow is better, xbow of power +16, +31, or the xbow of extra shots +21, +24, (+1)? If I had to pick right now I'd go with the xbow of power because it has just such a high to-dam, but the extra shot one's to-dam isn't shabby. With the extra shot, if you double the to-dam I'd be doing more damage per turn, but getting less out of each bolt.

There's no reason to carry multiple copies of the higher level spellbooks. The *only* way to lose those is to have them stolen. Harowen is dead though, so no one's going to take them from you. Since you have fire immunity, there's no reason to carry multiple copies of the town-bought spellbooks either. They're just weighing you down.

Just make sure you bring about 30 !CCW with you. And you might want a couple ?phase door too, in case you need to phase after getting stunned with 0% fail. Although, I don't think you're even going to let Morgoth get close to you.

Then again, I'm impatient at this stage of the game.
